We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Finance Manager to lead and coordinate the Finance team at the local level. The ideal candidate will oversee all financial operations, ensure compliance with regulations, and provide strategic insights to support the company’s growth and profitability. This role is critical in maintaining the financial health of our organisation, which operates primarily in Spain and Portugal, within the B2B motorcycle and bicycle parts industry as part of a global group of companies.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate financial reports for internal stakeholders and external compliance, ensuring adherence to local and international accounting standards.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant financial reporting requirements, regulations, tax laws, and corporate policies.
- Audit Coordination: Lead internal and external audits, acting as the primary point of contact for auditors
- Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow to ensure liquidity and optimise working capital.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor the finance team, delegating tasks effectively to ensure operational efficiency.
- Group Reporting: Communicate with Finance Managers in other territories to maintain agreed balances with all other intercompany partners.
- Investment Oversight: Manage investment activities to maximise returns while minimising risks.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with other departments (e.g., Sales, Procurement) to align financial strategies with overall business goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (Master’s degree or professional certifications such as CPA/CFA preferred).
- Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within a multi-company B2B environment or retail sector.
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations in Spain, Portugal, and Italy.
- Proficiency in financial management software and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Strong leadership abilities with a track record of managing teams effectively.
- Exceptional communication skills for presenting complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in industries dealing with international suppliers (e.g., Asia).
- Experience with SAP 4hana and Hyperion / Oracle is preferred.
- Familiarity with inventory-heavy businesses or retail operations.
- Knowledge of cost-reduction strategies and margin enhancement techniques.
- Fluency in English and Spanish. Knowledge of Portuguese is a plus.
