Fork Truck Driver
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Warehouse Team at Moto Direct Ltd
Role: The forklift operator is responsible for operating the forklift trucks to move, locate, relocate, stack and count merchandise. The operator is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicles and may also be required to perform picking / packing and booking in duties.
Main Job Responsibilities and brief description:
Specifics areas
- To operate Forklift trucks in a safe and efficient manner following operating standards procedures.
- To ensure that the Forklift trucks are checked on a daily basis and any maintenance or servicing requirements are authorised by the warehouse manager.
- To unload inbound shipments in a safe manner and move product to storage locations.
- To ensure that the pallets/bins are efficiently stacked to create as much space as possible.
- To pull and prepare product for order pickers in an efficient manner in accordance with customer service standards.
- To load, move; stack products and materials using the Forklift truck.
- Keep appropriate maintenance and daily records and reports for Health & Safety requirements.
- Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area at all times.
- To ensure stock integrity is maintained at all times.
- Ensure that targets and goals set out by the team leader and warehouse managers are achieved on a daily basis.
Key attributes:
- Good organisational and time management skills
- NVQ level 2 or above in Warehouse & Distribution.
- Must hold a current Bendi & Counterbalance Fork lift Truck licence.
- Accurate data input
- Work as part of a team or own initiative
- Flexible in approach
General Comments:
The individual may be called upon to assist in other areas of the business as and when required and may be asked to undertake other duties as requested by the Logistics Manager.
