Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Field-Based Account Manager to join our sales team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in expanding our customer base and achieving sales targets by actively promoting and selling our products or services in designated territories. As the Territory Account Manager, you will be responsible for building strong relationships with our most valued customers, identifying new business opportunities, and providing high levels of account management and business development. Your ability to work independently, combined with excellent communication and negotiation skills, will be essential to succeed in this role.
Responsibilities:
1. Sales and Business Development: Drive sales growth by prospecting, identifying, and securing new business opportunities within existing accounts and potential new accounts in the assigned geographic area. Build and maintain a robust pipeline of potential customers to achieve and exceed sales targets.
2. Customer Relationship Management: Develop and nurture strong relationships with existing and prospective clients. Conduct regular visits to clients, understanding their needs, and tailoring product or service offerings to meet their requirements.
3. Product Knowledge and Presentation: Possess a deep understanding of the products or services offered. Articulate product features, benefits, and value propositions effectively during client meetings and presentations. Provide support in UK customer presentations at internal and external events.
4. Market Research: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics within the designated territory. Provide market insights and feedback to the sales team and management.
5. Negotiation and Closing Deals: Skilfully negotiate terms and conditions with clients to close sales and finalise contracts. Handle objections and resolve customer concerns to ensure a smooth sales process.
6. Sales Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, client interactions, and sales performance. Submit regular reports on sales progress, achievements, and challenges to the Off-Road Sales Manager and the UK Sales Director.
7. Travel and Territory Management: Conduct regular field visits and attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to expand the company's presence and generate leads. Effectively manage and plan travel schedules to maximise productivity.
Qualifications and Requirements:
1. Experience: Proven track record in field-based sales, preferably in a related industry. Experience with B2B sales is an advantage.
2. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to present ideas and information confidently and persuasively.
3. Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation and closing skills with a customer-focused approach.
4. Result-Oriented: A self-motivated individual with a results-driven attitude. Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
5. Time Management: Effective time management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks and manage a dynamic schedule.
6. Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing market conditions, customer needs, and sales strategies.
7. Driving License: A valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
8. Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with sales tools, B2B systems, and other relevant business software.
